For us as a family-run company, sustainable practices are not just a buzzword, but a daily reality and an obligation.
#EveryDayForFuture
Sustainable production conditions, high quality, and continuous optimization of all processes, including environmental considerations – for us as a family-run business, sustainable practices are not just a label, but a commitment we fulfill every single day. True to our motto #EveryDayForFuture . For example, by recycling products and packaging, we saved over 258 tons of resources and 32 tons of CO2 in 2020. Accordingly, professional quality and environmental management are integral parts of our daily work.
Our climate protection measures
pixelfit – istock.comWe monitor consumption and emissions.
At our German production site and European logistics center in Mulda (Saxony), we operate a comprehensive monitoring system for consumption and emissions to optimize our environmental and climate footprint and to derive internal recommendations for action. Over the past ten years, this has enabled us to more than halve our consumption of fossil fuels and CO2 emissions.
We regularly conduct energy audits (in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1) to continuously identify further sustainable savings potential in the areas of energy consumption, waste generation, and emissions. Our international production facilities are also environmentally certified according to national and international standards.
We invest in renewable energies
The Minol-ZENNER Group is increasingly relying on renewable energies in its energy mix. Since January 2023, all our company buildings in Germany have been supplied with green electricity from GP Joule Plus. Furthermore, the gradual installation of photovoltaic systems on our company buildings, as well as the generation of green energy via our own water turbine at our Mulda site, are part of our sustainability strategy.
Our commitment to renewable energies is also reflected in our investment portfolio. Many of the Minol-ZENNER Group's company holdings are simultaneously investments in sustainability and climate protection.
This includes, among others, the specialist for photovoltaics and scalable tenant electricity, with whom we developed the "Minol Solar" product for the housing industry. We are also affiliated with GP JOULE , a leading provider of solar parks, wind farms, district heating and cooling networks, as well as electric and hydrogen mobility projects. With the eFarm project, for example, GP JOULE produces and supplies 100% green hydrogen for the mobility sector.

We use sustainable offers
We have recently begun electrifying our vehicle fleet. As a provider of solutions for public charging infrastructure and mobility solutions for the housing industry, we are well aware of the great importance of electromobility. Step by step, we are therefore transforming our own mobility practices by switching to electric vehicles. In addition, like many other companies, we have significantly reduced our business travel in recent years. Even after the pandemic, we will continue to have considerably fewer business trips on our agenda. Furthermore, we are foregoing domestic flights and preferring to use digital communication – both domestically and internationally.
In the IT sector, we rely on an environmentally friendly data center in Frankfurt am Main to minimize our carbon footprint . Since January 2023, all our production facilities and office buildings in Germany have been completely switched to green electricity.
We focus on sustainable corporate management
Our employees are the future of the company. To offer them a good and safe working environment, we implement various measures. We promote personal and professional development through training and health-promoting initiatives.
Furthermore, we use our solutions to transform the properties of the Minol-ZENNER Group into smart buildings and to create an optimal working atmosphere through smart sensors, CO2 monitoring , climate monitoring and other measures.
