Sustainability and climate protection at Brunata Minol
Climate change affects us all worldwide. The solutions are developed locally and must have a global impact. When the energy sector, the housing industry, and technology providers like the Minol-ZENNER Group join forces, solutions emerge that create a real future. Learn more about sustainability and climate protection at Brunata Minol.
Municipal utilities, energy suppliers, local authorities, and the housing industry possess the resources to transform cities into smart cities that combine climate protection, sustainability, and a high quality of life. Municipal utilities, in particular, can make a significant impact in areas such as energy supply, mobility, lighting, and waste management, especially when working in partnership with the housing industry. Their task is to develop tailored solutions for each municipality and city. We are a reliable partner at their side.
“Sustainability and climate protection are paramount right now. This is also true for the companies of the Minol-ZENNER Group. To meet these demands, we are continuously developing ourselves as a company, as well as our products and solutions, with a focus on long-term, sustainable development. Cities, municipalities, and regions worldwide face similar challenges. Sustainability is the most important goal. In the coming years and decades, it will be crucial to find answers to climate change and increasing resource scarcity, as well as to demographic change and other megatrends of our time. Municipal utilities and energy suppliers play a vital role in this. We support them with innovative and future-proof solutions.”

Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all people of all ages.
Many of our digital solutions directly impact the health and well-being of citizens or employees in companies. These include, for example, environmental monitoring via LoRaWAN®, legionella testing of drinking water, and monitoring of indoor climate and CO2 levels. Solutions such as smart parking and smart waste management, which reduce inner-city traffic and harmful emissions, also contribute to this.

Goal 6: Ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
With smart metering technology for recording water consumption and innovative system technology, we support water suppliers worldwide in ensuring hygienic drinking water distribution and preventing network losses, e.g., due to leaks. Smart sensors and data transmission via the Internet of Things also allow for monitoring drinking water quality and detecting suspected Legionella contamination.

Goal 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
Climate protection and rapidly rising energy prices underscore the importance of renewable energy in the context of sustainability and climate protection. In addition to our solution packages for photovoltaics and tenant electricity, the Minol-ZENNER Group's portfolio also offers the digital infrastructure for controlling and switching energy generation and consumption systems in accordance with the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG). With our solutions, renewable energies become sustainable building blocks for smart buildings and neighborhoods.

Goal 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote widespread and sustainable industrialization and support innovation
With intelligent metering technology and sensors, communication networks for the Internet of Things, smart components for electromobility, and solutions in the field of renewable energies, we support municipal utilities, local authorities, housing associations, and industry in building sustainable infrastructures. Consumption transparency, monitoring of waste volumes and air quality, and predictive maintenance of machinery are just a few examples of the many solutions that enable the sustainable and responsible use of resources.

Goal 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
Sustainability and energy conservation are top priorities for cities and municipalities. We view the Smart City holistically: This includes energy efficiency in buildings and intelligent parking management, as well as demand-driven waste management and smart street lighting. Many of our IoT solutions contribute to CO2 reduction in the Smart City or directly address environmental protection and sustainability in other ways. With innovative concepts, we also support cities and municipalities in expanding charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and integrating renewable energies.
