Why does the distance to the radio matter?

The strength of radio waves decreases exponentially with increasing distance. If the distance to the device doubles, the signal strength drops to a quarter. In practice, this means: the further away, the lower the radiation exposure.

What about data security?

The radio telegrams transmitted via the Minol Connect wireless system are encrypted individually for each device using current technological standards (AES128). Decrypting or intercepting consumption data would therefore require enormous technical effort and expense. The transmitted data is managed and processed in a data center certified according to ISO 27.001.
