The new B.One Guide uses building data to determine, among other things, energy consumption and CO2emissions, efficient measures for strategic building renovation.

Leinfelden-Echterdingen, January 2026With the B.One Guide, Minol supports owners and managers in transparently assessing the energy performance of their buildings, identifying areas for action, and deriving economically viable measures. The tool thus provides an important basis for decision-making to increase the energy efficiency of buildings and to meet legal requirements for achieving climate goals.

"The B.One Guide is an important step towards implementing the energy transition in the housing industry," explains Alexander Lehmann, Managing Director of Minol Messtechnik W. Lehmann GmbH & Co. KG. “With this tool, we actively support our customers in decarbonizing their assets, create transparency about the energy status of their buildings and provide a solid basis for future decisions.”

From data basis to action

To use the B.One Guide, landlords and property managers must have already commissioned Minol to handle their heating cost billing. Furthermore, consumption data for at least one heating season must be available. This data forms the basis of the analysis and is automatically compared with industry-specific benchmarks and the recognized CRREM (Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor) curve.

Users can choose from predefined target pathways, such as the 2-degree pathway, and automatically receive assigned packages of measures. These range from short-term optimizations, such as individual component insulation, to long-term investments, such as replacing the heating system or using renewable energy. The B.One Guide calculates the anticipated investment costs, takes potential subsidies into account, and simultaneously shows the expected CO₂ savings. In addition, the tool provides a sound economic analysis that transparently illustrates the impact of planned measures on operating costs and property value.

Easy to use and quick to get started

“With the B.One Guide, our customers receive a precise analysis of their portfolio without time-consuming data collection,” explains Ralf Görner, Managing Director at Minol. “The tool clearly identifies the need for action, automatically assigns packages of measures, simulates different scenarios and thus provides a reliable basis for decisions regarding sustainable investments.”

Using the B.One Guide requires only access to the Minol online portal. After selecting the buildings to be analyzed and the desired duration, the first analysis is available immediately after commissioning. The data is automatically imported from the existing building data in the Minol system.
