Sina Ettmer - adobestock.comTogether for a sustainable housing industry in Stralsund
With a strategic partnership spanning 12 years, Minol and SWSE GmbH are laying the foundation for a large-scale digitization project in the housing stock of SWG GmbH in Stralsund.
SWSE GmbH is a regional specialist for energy and water cost accounting and also offers modern solutions in the areas of sustainable energy supply, heat and mobility for Stralsund and the region of Western Pomerania.
The aim of the partnership is the comprehensive measurement technology equipment of around 9.600 apartments in the city of Stralsund with the Minol Connect radio system and digital measurement technology in accordance with the current heating cost ordinance (HKVO).
Precise coordination of material flows and assembly capacities ensures that the majority of apartments will be converted by the end of 2025.
In addition to integrating SWSE's heat and water meters, supplementary functions are also being implemented to increase energy efficiency, such as the "digital boiler room." Close coordination between Minol, SWSE, and SWG Stralsund, the property owner, is a key factor in the project's success. This ensures tenants are informed early and transparently, thus creating the foundation for high availability and a smooth installation process.
During the pilot phase, the first properties were successfully equipped with LoRaWAN-based large-scale heat meters and integrated into the Minol-Connect LoRaWAN radio system. The results are consistently positive: "Everything works perfectly, and the project partners are very satisfied," reports Bosco Mirtschink, Sales Manager North at Minol, who personally oversees the project together with Account Manager Marvin Becke (Minol).
The decision in favor of Minol is based on the future-proof Minol Connect wireless system, the strong local presence, and the agreement of a long-term partnership. Looking ahead, SWSE also plans to implement the Minol "Mares" billing platform to make water and heating cost billing even more efficient and legally compliant.
