B.One tenant electricity powered by Quartierkraft is a new all-in-one solution that enables building owners to offer tenants solar power directly from the roof – without having to worry about technology, billing, or legal requirements. The solution combines digital platform technology, energy industry expertise, and legally compliant processes into a comprehensive service package.
Tenant electricity offers attractive opportunities to promote sustainability while simultaneously increasing the return on investment and the value of a property. Great potential, but limited implementation so far.
Around 1,9 million buildings in Germany are fundamentally suitable for generating tenant electricity on-site. So far, only about 9.000 systems have been implemented, representing less than 0,5 percent of the technical potential. Eleven of the sixteen federal states have already introduced mandatory rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems, requiring the installation of solar panels in new buildings or during extensive roof renovations, depending on the state.
