Jacob Ammentorp Lund – AdobestockLoRaWAN® radio system Minol Connect – the digital basis for heating cost billing
With the LoRaWAN® radio system Minol Connect, landlords and property managers receive consumption data securely, digitally and transparently.
Why the switch to radio is necessary now
The housing industry in Germany is switching to remote meter reading. Based on the current heating cost ordinance, new requirements apply to metering equipment:
- Since December 2021, newly installed heat meters, water meters and heat cost allocators must be remotely readable.
- Existing devices must be retrofitted with remotely readable measuring technology by the end of 2026.
- Residents are entitled to monthly consumption information, which make saving energy easier.
For landlords and property managers, this means: They need a future-proof solution that reliably records data and makes it usable for billing.
The solution: The Minol Connect LoRaWAN® radio system
Minol Connect meets the requirements of the current Heating Cost Ordinance, reduces the effort involved in billing, saves CO₂2-Emissions and paves the way for further applications.
