Implementation of the current heating cost regulations
According to the Heating Costs Ordinance, costs in centrally heated buildings must be billed according to consumption. Since the 2021 amendment to the Heating Costs Ordinance, the following applies:
- Newly installed heat meters must be remotely readable.
- Existing devices must be retrofitted by the end of 2026.
- From 2027 onwards, only remotely readable systems will be permitted.
